Removing barriers is critical. Finding support is life changing.
We've Been There. That's Why We're Here.
At I'm Going To Be, we understand what it means to sacrifice everything for your children and still feel like it's not enough. Our founder—a working single mother with a background in science, education, health, wellness, and spirituality—lived that reality. She knows what it's like to rush from therapy to therapy, to juggle siblings in waiting rooms, to skip her own care so her children could receive theirs. She also knows how isolating that journey can feel. So, she built this organization to make sure no family has to go through it alone.
Our Mission
I'm Going To Be is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering developmentally disabled adults, economically disadvantaged children, and their caregivers to reach their full potential through increased access to both traditional and holistic care, education, support, and community—all in one place.
We aim to ease the impossible burden of being everywhere at once, and the financial burden of paying for it. We’re building a physical space where families can breathe:
-
A child can play safely while a sibling receives services.
-
A parent can attend a seminar, relax, or schedule medical/wellness appointments at the same time.
-
A caregiver can be seen and supported—just like those they care for every day.
Why We're Different
We don’t just offer services—we create sanctuary. Our future center will be a hub where compassion meets convenience, where medical and wellness providers work side by side, and where families are treated with dignity, understanding, and hope.
We're not guessing at what families need—we’ve lived it. That’s why every program we design is rooted in lived experience, and every plan we make is grounded in the belief that access should never be a privilege.
Where We Are Now
We are currently raising funds to launch our first facility—a place that will change lives from the moment the doors open. Until then, we are building partnerships, planning programs, and creating a strong foundation to ensure long-term sustainability.
